Companion Attachment

For this "body extension project," I wanted to form a sculpture that either extended a specific body part or human emotion. I created this work first semester of my freshman year during a time when I was feeling quite homesick. This loneliness inspired me to make a companion attachment that could be put on as a backpack and used to give the wearer a (prickly) hug whenever they needed it.
